Rehome a Stone / Adopt a Rock

Rehome a Stone / Adopt a Rock is a gentle invitation to honour minerals and stones as companions rather than commodities.

This programme creates pathways for stones to be respectfully rehomed, cared for, learned from, and shared — whether they arrive through personal collections, life transitions, downsizing, inheritance, or simple intuition that it is time for a stone to move on.

Some stones find new homes.
Some become part of Solaria’s Living Library, learning spaces, or exhibitions.
Some simply rest, waiting for their next chapter.

Every stone is welcomed without judgement, hierarchy, or expectation.

What This Programme Is

Rehome a Stone / Adopt a Rock supports:

Stones and crystals that are no longer needed, displayed, or loved where they are
Everyday rocks, meaningful finds, and geological curiosities — not just “valuable” specimens
Ethical circulation of minerals outside traditional buying and selling models
Education, stewardship, and relationship with the Earth

This is not about belief systems.
It is about care, continuity, and respect for the material world.

Ways to Participate

Rehome a Stone

You may offer stones or minerals that:

Have personal or family history
Were once part of a collection
No longer feel aligned in your space
Deserve continued care or visibility

Stones may be:

Rehomed with individuals
Integrated into Solaria’s learning or gallery spaces
Used in educational kits or displays
Held safely until a clear next step emerges

Adopt a Rock

Adopting a rock is a way to:

Support Solaria’s development and collections
Learn about a specific stone or mineral
Participate in stewardship rather than ownership
Gift an adoption in someone’s name

Adopted stones may be:

Visited during open days or events
Included in rotating displays
Documented with shared stories or geological notes

Programme Status

Initial offerings are welcomed by conversation and alignment rather than fixed processes.
